Arithmetic Help Refund Policy
All book purchases are considered final, and there are no refunds. We highly encourage all of our prospective customers to download our free book sample in our online store section on the home page. This will give you the opportunity to decide whether our book is appropriate for your needs - before you make a purchasing decision. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
U.S.A. Sales and Use Tax Information
For our prospective customers making purchases in the United States of America, there is important tax information that we need to disclose. For American states that levy (charge) a sales or use tax, this tax may not appear in the checkout during a book purchase. If this is the case, then our customer may have to pay a "use" tax to their state, county or parish, or local government.
Each American state has different rules about when a business legally can collect sales and use taxes from their customers. Our company is relatively new, and we have not completed a sufficient quantity of sales to apply for the tax permits necessary to collect sales and use taxes - save for Illinois, the state where we have our headquarters. And, unfortunately - due to sales tax and permit issues - we currently cannot legally sale our book to residents of the state of Connecticut. Sorry :-(
For most American states that charge a sales or use tax, if a retailer does not charge a sales or use tax, then the responsibility to pay a use tax falls upon the purchaser. If your purchase does not include a charge for sales or use tax, then you can visit your state's department of revenue or taxation Web site for information about your potential sales or use tax liability. Thank you for your understanding, as the states' tax laws are beyond our ability to control.
